Because he kicked a writer. And then gave a statement. I can't even call it an apology, because it wasn't an apology, it was him explaining away what he did i.e. physically assault someone at his workplace. And I would assume because a) this wasn't the first time it happened, and b) his non apology apology/statement was shitty.......he got fired because of it.
Well now he's lawyering up.
I mean, look. I LOVE Hotch. He's grumpy-hot, has HUGE hands, and his character arc is one of the most interesting on the show. I mean, Hotch is pretty much the only reason I still watch. I was NOT impressed with the last season (season 11). Out of all 22 episodes, I'd maybe watch four of them again. It just wasn't that good, and some of the storylines just do not make sense to me at all.
But the guy assaulted someone. At work. And given the nature of Hollywood, and the fact that Thomas Gibson is the lead.......you can bet every dollar I own that this was NOT the first time it happened. Far from the first time. So for CBS/Criminal Minds to fire its lead actor, on the heels of another actor leaving the show, tells me that he's been a massive pill for a loooong time.
Which brings us to Shemar Moore aka the gorgeous Derek Morgan.
Shemar Moore is so beautiful that it must've slipped his mind while he was looking at himself in the mirror (seriously, if I was him, that'd be all I was doing), that the internet is forever. He posted a video of himself talking about what happened........well, giving us nosy people some tea to sip on while we're in the SHADE.
'Cause damn. All he needed to do was put a "bless your heart" somewhere in there. Here's what he said:
"Lot of birdies chirping out there. The gossip is real,” he says in the video. “I hear it. I see it. I’m sure a lot of you do too. So I’ll just say this. I believe that good things happen to good people. Honest people. Hardworking people. Humble people. People who believe in basic goodness. … Treat people how you expect them to treat you.”
Bless his heart, and thank you Jesus!
But I am really sad about how Thomas Gibson turned out to be an asshole after all. :(
